Author Description Dr. La Puma is a practicing physician, a professionally trained chef, and a New York Times best-selling author twice. <br /><br />Founder of Chef Clinic and co-founder of ChefMD, his mission is to help you get measurably healthier with what you eat and how you live, including the use of nature as medicine. <br /><br />Dr. La Puma taught the first Nutrition and Cooking course for medical students in the US, at SUNY-Upstate with Dr. Michael Roizen of the Cleveland Clinic, and delivered the first lectures at Harvard and at TEDMED on Culinary Medicine. <br /><br />He hosts the national PBS series “Dr John La Puma’s ChefMD Shorts” and co-hosted 100+ episodes of the national cable network Lifetime TV’s “Health Corner”, most recently with Joan Lunden and Leeza Gibbons, over nearly 5 years. <br /><br />A cook at James Beard-award winning Chef Rick Bayless’ Topolobampo in Chicago for nearly 4 years, Dr. La Puma sees patients, keeps bees and leads tours of his certified organic urban farm in Santa Barbara by appointment. <br /><br />Visit him at <a target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow" href="http://drjohnlapuma.com">http://drjohnlapuma.com</a> <br />
